Current Position of the Star

In Japanese, the word “Hoshi” is sometimes used with the connotation of a place, region, or hometown. There are also expressions like “chasing a star,” where “Hoshi” is used to refer to a specific object.
The “stars” we perceive are more conceptual than we might realize.
This is because the light from the stars we see in the sky today is how they appeared tens of thousands of light-years ago; we cannot see their light as it is at this very moment.
Things that exist as concepts; things that once existed.
We will likely never be able to foresee the fate of our own forms.
As time flows, our contours adapt, and our present form gradually becomes a sense of incongruity from the past.
We measure our current position from the beginning of the “star.”
We tentatively define the “star” within that zone and track its current position.
